she fell like a meteor.

Normally dubs don't bother me - I came from the days of Sailor Moon dub, nothing can disturb or surprise me - but ow, why did I look up the Princess Tutu english dubbed episodes?

Edit: Oh, man. Just when I was reading about Questionable Content being featured on Feministing.com (some of the comments make my head hurt, though :/), I get this:

FrigidCoho (1:17:02 AM): When the robots revolted, I was not considered a powerful enough robot to enslave humans. That made me sad. DOWNTRODDEN ROBOTS OF THE WORLD UNITE!

(You ... will probably only understand this if you've read the webcomic.)

I actually like the Princess Tutu dub, I thought they did a very good job on it.

It's pretty well done for an English dub, and I like Ahiru's voice in the dub; she really does sound like a duck. There was something bugging me about Mytho and Fakir's voices, though.

It's just an instance where I really prefer the original Japanese over the dub - which is usually very rare for me. I prefer it the other way around, most of the time. (So that way, I don't have to read the subs and try to watch the video at the same time with all the pausing. My attention span sucks. @_@;)

That's funny, the only one in PT whose voices bugged me was Mytho, I thought Chris Patton as Fakir was positively brilliant.

I haven't actually watched PT in Japanese in a year, because I am such a multi-tasker, that and I don't see much of a difference quality wise.

Mytho's voice was way too deep. I expected him to sound much younger than he came off in the dub. I'm not sure why Fakir's English voice bugged me so much; I think a few more episodes will help change my mind, and I'm curious about how Rue sounds.

This just reminded me that I have to get all the episodes on DVD. I'm tempted to use some money from my first paycheck to get them. I may, I may not, not sure yet. >_>

I like what one person pointed out in the comments: that the female characters are a helluva lot more developed than the male characters like Marten and Steve. It's true! I read the comic because of the girls, like Faye, Hanners and Dora. Marten is a nice guy, but Marten by himself without the supporting cast wouldn't have done a thing for me. :\
