Comparisons to Dragonball: Evolution seem sort of apt. Maybe they'll rename it Avatar: The Last Airbender: Evolution.

Pretty much, yeah. This movie's just going to be a repeat of that bomb, except now it's more offensive because the darkest skinned characters are being white washed.

Man. I don't even know. All I know is that now they reached a whole new BS; they changed Aang's powers. He can control "the weather" now. THE WEATHER. I'm ... I'm done, so done with trying to figure out WTF they're doing.

In all honesty, I don't really concern myself with the whitewashing, because I think that the horribleness of the movie will eclipse all other complaints, and an ethnic cast won't save this stinker.

You're right, it won't. It just aggravates me that this is yet another movie where the casting directors are simply too lazy to find the right actors for specific roles, that's all.

But there's now way this movie is going to be redeemed; the director took the show and seems to be turning the franchise into something it isn't. He seems to be very hopeful that he's going to get a trilogy out of it, so I'm hoping the first movie is so bad he doesn't make enough money with it and continue with the trilogy. I don't think any of the fans want to see it go from bad to worst. :\ I really don't want to regret the wishful thinking.

It is. :\ I don't know if it's supposed to be a flashback sequence or not.

Here's the real kicker: Dev and whoever's playing Iroh are the only Asians on the cast. They're being referred to as "villains". The rest of the cast - Aang, Sokka, Katara - are all white.
