DAY 06 - BEST KISS



Um, I'm going with the first one that pops into my head, because I'm the last person to ask about best kisses and such, especially if you want me to dig out any that are from live-action shows. So, John Smith/Pocahontas, everyone.

I recognize the problems with the movie now that I'm older, but I still think this kiss was well animated. I wish I was able to find more caps of their kiss without having to borrow someone else's graphics, because this entire sequence captured her emotion quite well.

I don't think I've seen a kiss come close to it yet. If anyone knows of any other awesome kisses, give me the heads-up!

That episode made me actually like Nephrite. Before then, I kinda hated him, especially since I was convinced that he was just playing with poor Naru...but that episode made me realize that he really did love her. ♥

And I like your choice for Best Kiss. I haven't seen that movie in years, but I've always loved those two. Which was why I hated the sequel.

I thought so, too, when I was watching the show for the very first time. I think he was using her from the start, but he found himself becoming fascinated by her and I think her complete and utter faith in him made him want to believe he could change for her. And I have all these other thoughts I can't sum up without making :( :( :( while I'm typing them.

TLDR: he totally loved her. ♥

Even with the problems, it's a good movie. Historically it's a mess, but I do love John Smith/Pocahontas. (A-And Kocoum/Pocahontas, because I couldn't understand why she didn't like him. Then again, he was my very first fictional crush. Uhhh, yeah.)

I didn't really mind the sequel since she did marry Thomas Rolfe according to history/myth, but...yeah, I liked John Smith/Pocahontas and it still hurt to see them not end up together. And I didn't really like Rolfe that much. :\

Yes, exactly! That's why I ended up shipping them in the end, haha. They're not OTP material for me like they are for you, but I do think that they are super cute, and I wish that they could have had more time together so they could eat a chocolate parfait! ♥

Pssh, Disney never goes for accuracy, and I think that's just fine. ♥ I watched the sequel once, before I knew what happened historically, and could never manage to get over my dislike. John Smith/Pocahontas was just too cute. And I never hated Kocoum either, although I didn't ship them. Haha, how cute! I am now trying to remember who my first fictional crush was. It's difficult.

They are super cute! If any of the Shittenou should've lived/been reborn to live happily ever after--which should've been everyone but Jadeite, only because he was as dull to watch as a brick wall, and I'd rather see Kunzite/Zoisite shacking up in modern-day Japan and living normal lives--it should've been him so he can spend more time with Naru. Ohhhhh man, chocolate parfait. *SOB*

I watched the movie after I realized Pocahontas married another man in her life, but I was still upset because it's freaking John Smith/Pocahontas, and the movie just sold you on them together. I was convinced Disney would reunite them, accuracy be damned, but ugh, of course not. I don't blame you for not remembering; I completely forgot about mine until I rewatch-ed this movie a few years ago. He walks around shirtless and he has pretty hair, for heaven's sake.

Yes! I mean, I'd prefer for Kunzite & Zoisite to be brought back, since they are my OTP and all, but if only one of the Shitennou could come back, it should have been Nephrite. In fact, why oh why did they have to die for good? Plenty of other villans were redeemed! Poor Jadeite. XD He never got much of a chance to get much of a personality.

Yeah, exactly! Disney has never cared much for accuracy before, so I don't see why they cared on this point. Proves why 80% of their sequels suck. It's kinda weird, really-- I can remember my first non-canon pairing, but I can't remember my first fictional crush. All I can think of is Aladdin's dad, and I know that it wasn't him.
