Nov. 17th, 2009 01:03 amRandom song requests!! Does anyone have Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff"? I'm uh, looking around for the song, because I lost it and I can't find another copy of it. (I'm not a huge fan of the song, but it was on my character's playlist and the youtube videos censor the language, which kinda ruins the song.) Oh, and does anyone have Ani DiFranco music? I lost all her songs, too. :(
Speaking of music, have an awesome cover of one of my favorite Coldplay songs. I uh, have been listening to it a lot more than the original, mostly because the acoustic take fits one of my characters so well, especially the opening.

evilwildlex) asked me to do a video for her. Since it won't be for awhile, practice is needed! At the moment I'm working on putting clips together because the last time I made a music video, it was ... two years ago, I think? I'm moderately okay at it! I'll get better with practice. XD;
This was the result. It's nothing special, it's only 12 seconds long. Just a little Maka and Crona from Soul Eater to the song "Mad World" by Gary Jules. I was listening to the song last night when the scenes from episode 21 popped into my head to specific lyrics, so I sat down and put the clips together. I'm not completely happy with this; I imagined it looking differently in my head. There's also too much of an emphasis on Maka when the lyrics are focused on Crona. It's still something, though.
(Um, the linked video contains spoilers for episode 21 if you haven't watched it yet. But if you don't know anything about Soul Eater or don't care about it, you should be okay watching it. Oh, and excuse the subtitles. I don't have raw clips. ^^;)

YES I USED TO WATCH SOAP OPERAS. I mean, yes, it's Passions and it's ridiculous. I know it is. But Ashley, Fei Fei and I used to religiously watch this show when we were in middle school. They used to come over to my house nearly every day. We watched Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z ... and then this soap opera. We knew all of their names, the relationships, I got THE FUCKING BOOKwhich had lots of sex in it... this entire show was my life when I was in middle school, amongst Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z. It was so pathetic, but I still get all sad when I watch the clips. D:

You know, I was all about OMG ETHAN/THERESA FOREVER when I was younger. But now that I watch this years later, I'm rooting for Gwen in this one. Theresa was so obsessed with Ethan that it was insane, and she totally plotted to get together with Ethan. (Also, Theresa always looks like she's pouting and that she's about to burst into tears. It's those puppy dog eyes, I think.)
Gwen here? She is the scorned lover holding a baseball bat and swinging it around at her traitorous best friend - and she's wearing a red cocktail dress and heels, and also digging into a little purse for a cell phone at the same time, while attacking Theresa. It's so nonsensical. You can only get away with that in soap operas.
Oh, and apparently LUIS AND SHERIDAN NEVER ENDED UP TOGETHER IN THE END? WHY?! oh god my heart. ;___;

May. 15th, 2009 05:24 amWell, I didn't whole-heartedly approve of Ulquiorra and Orihime from Bleach being a couple during the whole KIDNAPPED ORIHIME plot. I just don't like the fandom's general treatment with their relationship and how they turn it into something it isn't.
Another complaint I have is Orihime's constant role as a damsel in distress. I'm so sick of Orihime's character growth being stunted in favor of somebody else rescuing her, especially when she's physically capable of protecting herself and others. Ulquiorra kidnapping her didn't make things any better.
Despite my complaints ... I think this flash is adorable. ( The video! )

I can't stop laughing at Lightning's voice in French. He sounds even more annoying in a different language. Especially when he first yells at Robin when the Titans appear. And when he laughs. And when he says "No," at some point to Thunder and stretches the word out. roflmao.
Starfire's voice sounds lovely, as well as Raven's. Beast Boy's voice grates on my nerves, though. Not sure how I feel about Robin's.
I'm still wondering WTF keeps happening to Thunder's pants in this episode.

Seriously, I shouldn't be this happy that they updated (which was a week ago, I'm so late on these things), but I can't help it. This is hilarious. Unfortunately, it managed to make me HATE Venus.
The bit about Molly made me lol. I couldn't even watch that abridged episode. I'm still too emotionally invested in them. I almost didn't get through this one, lmao. D:
