As a Shipper, your focus in roleplay is romantic and sexual tension. It could be a certain ship or a variety of ships, but character relationships (and not the friendship kind) are what make roleplay fun for you. However, it's not necessarily sex: unlike the Smutfic, you're more interested in how and why and how your characters change and develop before they "get anywhere" rather than whether or not they actually do. You like to develop characters as much as possible, but often forget that any unrelated outside plot exists; you also tend to empathize with your characters a little too much: when things start going badly IC, it tends to mess with your OOC emotions.

I have to admit, with some amount of shame, that this is very accurate. I'm not sure if shipping is enough to distract me from a main plot -- I think I've done okay with action-based roleplays -- but I've always enjoyed developing relationships and developing my characters in the middle of relationships. (Except I do enjoy friendships, you silly quiz. They count!)

And I never roleplay for smut. It doesn't register with me. Since I'm very wishy-washy with smut, I'm almost never concerned with it. I like reading it, don't get me wrong, and I'll even write some occasionally, but it's outside my comfort zone; I usually only write smut logs with people I trust not to get gross or depend entirely on it.

Hmm. This quiz made me miss roleplaying! I've been tempted to get back into the saddle, but since I've discovered the likes of roleplaysecrets, I've been extremely paranoid about it. I doubt I'm a horrible player, but I dislike the existence of the place; anyone who doesn't like you, for any reason, can simply turn to a community and badmouth you without getting caught, and I really despise that since it's enough to kill my mood for roleplaying. :/

hmm, I suspect I'd get the same result if I did that quiz.

I can understand the existence of those comms if it's something thats like "wow, no way." (like say other playing is stalking you, stuff like that.). But for little things... meh. I understand what you mean.

Ugh, I've been so lousy at replying to comments on LJ. I'm sorry, but HERE I AM NOW. D:

I totally roleplay to develop friendships/relationships. It's a guilty pleasure of mine. :D; So I'm glad I'm not alone in that respect.

I can understand the existence of those comms if it's something thats like "wow, no way." (like say other playing is stalking you, stuff like that.). But for little things... meh. I understand what you mean.

I mean, I can understand roleplaysecrets for praising a player or a community, or even pointing out something truly batshit, but it's always been...mean-spirited, I guess? For lack of a better word. It's so easy to go anonymous and bash a player for writing a character in a way you don't agree with, instead of going to them directly and saying something about it.

That and when I was in LJ roleplaying, it turned me into someone I didn't like, so things like roleplaysecrets only reminds me of that and needless drama. :\
