2. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.

These are the subjects/things that [livejournal.com profile] suspicious gave me.

1. Terra
➝ I adore Terra. She was the reason why I started watching Teen Titans to begin with. The first season was nice, but it didn't really catch my interest. When Terra's first episode aired, I was immediately hooked. She was awesome, but she was also very vulnerable. She was gifted and cursed with her earth bending geomancing abilities. What made her story really devastating is how little self-esteem she had and how easily she fell prey to Slade. I hated how much the fandom hated her and simply wrote her off as a Mary Sue, when she was the most interesting character on the show. She wasn't a Sue; she wasn't perfect. Terra betrayed her friends, got herself killed while redeeming herself, and chose a simple life as a high school student instead of burdening the group any more than she already had. Just ... she was awesome. Terra's arc made me fall in love with the show, and I will always remember her as my favorite character, next to Starfire.

2. TyZula
➝ This is also Colin's fault. He was the one that convinced me of how hot they were. I was a skeptic at first, but, of course, now I truly see their awesome sexy ways, and I approve. It's ~love~, people. I mean, come on, Ty Lee barely wanted to betray Azula. The only reason she did was because she was scared of losing Mai; and even Ty Lee knows when Azula needs to cut her shit out.

3. Heroes
➝ Sev made me watch the first season after all the episodes aired, on this website that's no longer up. So many characters, but so many shenanigans and the first season's plot is deliciously captivating. And Sylar just cracks me up; he's never going to fucking die, but I can dig it as long as he puts on his dorky glasses and sports an apron once in awhile.
➝ Nowadays though, plot-wise ... I'm glad the plot FINALLY picked back up, but I'm extremely frustrated with how carelessly the show kills off their female characters, or how they'll create characters that serve as a plot-point and then you never see them again until it's time to kill them like Kensai-whatshisface. :/

4. Teen Titans
➝ Ahahahaha, of course. I used to roleplay within this fandom. I still want to, but I'm always afraid of what people will think, since barely anyone plays the characters anymore. Getting back to the show, though, it was cute. It was serious at times, but it always remained a light-hearted story. Except season five sucked. A lot.

5. NANA
➝ I remember reading this ... I don't even know when. A few years ago? I started watching the episodes online. I adored the music from the anime, and the dynamics between Nana and Hachi's relationship. They need each other. I'm not too crazy with the story these days, because it's a little too much like a soap opera now, but the characters keep me hooked. I'm still holding out for Hachi to be reunited with Nana.

Yeah, the ending of NANA (anime) made me all different kinds of unhappy.

It could've gone a lot better, you know, like taking out that pregnancy bullshit.

The pregnancy plot just pisses me off. It's like the writer/artist ran out of ideas of what to do with Hachi. The plot, or the lack of one, just fell apart from there.

Why do two friends have to NOT spend time together just because one of them has a baby? I call bullshit.

That whole ending was bullshit and really pissed me off. Especially the end scene of the last episode. Buuuuuull.

Poor Nobu.

I feel bad for Nobu. He really got screwed over.

I remember when Hachi was talking to her friend Jun about the pregnant deal, and Jun was talking about how she had to financially support the baby, which means she has to go to Takumi instead of Nobu. Because Takumi's in a rock band. Let's just forget that Nobu's band is on the verge of success anyway. What the fucking shit is that.

Such fucking bullshit. I w as so upset about that.

I'm in the belief that IF THERE IS A FUCKING WILL, THERE IS A FUCKING WAY. Nobu had a job. He HAD an income. Hachi didn't have to go back to Takumi, or let Takumi have every say over what she was going to do. It just sounded like a last-minute excuse for some drama.

And she just took it, no matter what happened. Succcch bullshit.

Yeah, really.

It does get SOMEWHAT better, but it lags forever in the manga to get from point A to point B.

Well to be fair, the pregnancy is from the manga, so it wasn't an anime creation.

I think the reasoning, while even if Nobu was monetarily able, he was unable to accept the responsibility of being a father and wasn't yet mature enough for that role.

I didn't personally want Hachi to be with either of them and figure out how to stand on her own two feet, pregnancy or no pregnancy

Oh no, I meant from my only seeing the anime standpoint. Either way, the way they went about that could've done the manga/anime better without having it in there at all (that sentence itself just sounds awkward, but I hope you get what I mean).

Hachi needed to not be so reliant on everyone except herself... seeing her personality shrink smaller and smaller as the series progressed, it just depressed me.

That's something else that bothered me. Hachi's biggest weakness is her dependability on others, especially her love interests. It makes sense that she's depending on Takumi now, but I hope she comes to her senses and becomes more independent sooner rather than later.

Man, I really need to reread the manga from the beginning to where it is now. Refresh my memory a little. D:
