• I'll admit it: I cried like a big baby at the end. :< Also, my heart was pounding in my throat the entire time because I avoided reading the last few chapters. The movie hit a nerve with me as a whole; to me, it's a good movie if it strikes a cord with me. (I think it's because I KNEW what was going to happen, but .. I forgot most of the details when I finally got to the movie, and some of the scenes really made me uncomfortable and I almost didn't want to watch it.)

• But uh, it was great, considering that I never expect the movies to fully adapt the book material into the movie anyway so my expectations were lower than most. I enjoy the movies immensely while reminding myself that they're not going to be the books.

• I noticed they cut out a lot of unnecessary parts from the book, but also left out, changed or skimmed through a lot of important details, such as Remus's relationship with Tonks. (I'm not a huge fan of the relationship, so it was no loss, but I felt like they really rushed revealing that detail.)

• I don't understand the Ron hate that's going around amongst the fans over this movie? He seemed IC to me.

• The kid throwing up on Snape's shoes? Priceless. XD

• I liked Snape a lot in this movie - mostly because he looked a lot better. I don't know what it is, but he looked a bit different.

• I LOVE that they left the bit in about Ron's brothers running their own shop. That was always my favorite part in the book.

• I felt really, really bad for Malfoy in this movie. I normally don't like him but I felt sorry for him in this movie. He may be a jerk, but he's definitely not cold enough to kill someone.

• I really hated what they did with Malfoy's mother. What the FUCK did they do with her hair?! Brown and blonde? I don't even want to know what they were thinking when they put that character design together. They could've just given her a blond wig to wear and be done with it.

• There was a large amount of Harry and Hermione scenes in this film, but ... I don't really see the Harry/Hermione that a lot of fans saw and complained about. Is it just me?

In short, I enjoyed the movie, despite the mistakes. I can't wait to see what the last movie(s) is going to be like.

Edit: Um, there's spoilers in the comments, too. BEWARE.

I have a hard time keeping the books and movies separate, but I guess a lot of the things didn't seem so out of the blue in the book because there is a lot of information in them. The movies, on the other hand, if I watched these on their own, I probably wouldn't understand fully what's happening. I mean, they pretty much skimmed the horcrux stuff, which is the base of the next two movies. But I've never really loved the movies, so it's nothing new for me. The only exceptions are the first and second movie (the second only because I really really dislike reading CoS lol).
