New voices for the Soul Eater's English Dub.

Black☆Star: Brittney Karbowski
Tsubaki: Monica Rial
Stein: Chuck Huber

So ... Black☆Star's voice actor is a lady. I'm not surprised. XD I THINK Karbowski played a voice in Full Metal Alchemist before, but I don't remember who. I don't really care who plays Black☆Star, because admittedly I have a lot/hate deal with him.

If I remember right, Monica Rial played Dante from the anime adaption of Full Metal Alchemist. I forget what she sounds like. I think it's fitting that Chuck Huber is playing Stein; he played Shou Tucker in Full Metal Alchemist, who was the father of Nina. Um. Yyyyeah, if you don't know the story behind Tucker and Nina, look it up.

Christ, I wish people would stop ranting about the casting in shibusen. The hate over Deathscythe's voice actor, understandable, but the "JAPANESE IS BETTER!!!111" bitching makes my head hurt.

Meanwhile, I'm in the process of looking for a Soul Eater mood theme. I might get the animated one or something else. We'll see.

I, too, have a love-hate relationship with Black Star. I'd like to like the character...but I just can't stand egotistical maniacs like him.

I don't usually mind egotistical maniacs. Extreme personalities like Black Star's work well for me when I write them, and I do like that Black Star grows and stumbles. Black Star just seems ... a little extreme for me, I guess? The rest of the fandom adores him, but he gets on my nerves sometimes.
