Date: 2009-09-28 02:07 pm (UTC)I don't have much of a problem with future!Curly/Rhonda wherein he has stopped harassing her and they are maybe friends or something and they get together without him tricking her or pestering her to date him. But I can't get behind a relationship that's based on their canon one, because it's icky.
Eeee! Curly/Eugene! I am determined to make everyone love this ship. Well, Curly/Eugene and Rhonda/Harold. I'm evil. XD
I kind of dig Rhonda/Nadine too, but I also really love them as BFFs so I don't go crazy about this pairing. And Rhonda/Patty is my lesbian pairing of choice in HA!
I think it's kind of neat that there's a lot of femmslash, because it means we like the ladies best, but it also sometimes comes across as sort of exploitive depending on how it's handled. Especially in pairings like Lila/Phoebe which don't have a canon backing and so you have to wonder if people like them because they think it could be a valid pairing or because they think it'd be hot. Then again, don't we all ship things at least partially because we think they'd be hot? IDK. I am conflicted on the femslash.
Also, Lila/Phoebe is probably as popular as it is because Marcos loves it and he has a pretty strong following.
