My 2009 Wishlist

Step One

- Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friends friends, or just random journals, or holiday_wishes) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My List

1. Art/fic/FST for any of my favorite characters/ships or my original characters.
They can always use more!

2. Anything and everything Disney.
I'm a die-hard Disney fanatic, though I'm into films from the Disney Renaissance era than anything else. I like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy, too. Anything related to Disney, I'll gladly enjoy!

3. Mix CDs/music recs, sent digitally or IRL.
I seriously need new music recommendations, because I feel like I've been set in my ways for awhile and it's time to explore. For an idea of my current music tastes, my favorite music artists are Imogen Heap, Regina Spektor, and Coldplay.

4. Snowglobes.
Size doesn't matter. I have my personal collection saved somewhere. :D;

5. Books or Book Recs.
Any fiction book that you think I'd enjoy, please to be reccing/sending to me! I'm always looking for good stuff to read.

6. A recipe book for baking, preferably one that focuses on cookies.

7. Any season of Hey Arnold! on DVD.

8. Anything Final Fantasy-related.

9. Journal.
I can always use a new journal to write in. I've been usin a lot of green journals since 2008. So I've decided, um, this trend needs to stop since I have four of them. I like the colors red, blue and purple.

10. Christmas cards/snail mail!

Hmmm ... maybe some Tokka where they decide to attempt crashing a party but their hijinks lead to more trouble than good? D: If the prompt is lame, I'm sorry. I draw blanks with prompts, most of the time.
