what do you say to taking chances?
Feb. 1st, 2010 05:12 amTonight I just finished season one of How I Met Your Mother - I missed the first few episodes, but I didn't miss anything important since the show generally catches you up on things you've missed - and I have thoughts!
» Ted's annoying. I'm sorry, but he is. Since I have to spend over five seasons listening to him go on and on and FUCKING ON about his love life, I have a feeling my indifference towards him isn't going to change soon. What keeps me from turning off the show are the other characters. The rest of the cast is endearing enough to hold my interest. (And I'm curious about how Ted/Robin is going to end, since it's apparent that she isn't going to marry him by the end of the show. I like Ted/Robin, but not enough to mourn over them not being endgame. I already know Barney/Robin supposedly becomes canon, which BAFFLES ME SO MUCH, and I want to see how the hell that's supposed to happen.)
» To be honest, I'm watching the show for Marshall and Lily, because they're a fun couple to watch. I'm sad now, because she gave him her engagement ring and he sat outside in the rain with Ted comforting him. My heart broke unexpectedly. :( I kinda sympathize with both of them. I'm glad Lily's aware that she has unfinished business and she needs to be by herself for awhile before she can marry Marshall, instead of brushing her worries off and marrying him anyway. But I'm sad for Marshall too, because he wasn't expecting everything to change. I think he was justifiably concerned that Lily's departure for three months was going to change how she feels about him, because I probably would've thought the same thing in his shoes. I really hope they get back together.
» Hahahahah, yeah, I don't know how to feel about Barney yet. I like him one second, and hate him the next.
And that's it. It's not the BEST SITCOM EVER, but it's a fun show so I'll try and catch up as quickly as possible. It's a little hard to do that, since IDK where to watch the episodes, if that option is available, and I'm waiting for episodes to become available through On Demand. So it'll take awhile. (Oh and don't spoil anything to me if you want to squee or talk about the show here.)
I'll try and go to bed now. @_@;

I'll give that a try. Thank you!
