DAY 07 - FAVORITE SCENE



I felt so sorry for Queen Nehelenia in this arc, and to see Usagi reacting, quite unreasonably and strangely, with sympathy and comfort her, even after she seemingly lost Mamoru, her friends, and even her own daughter, is what bumped this up there in my top five favorite episodes. Nehelenia definitely needed someone to reach out and lead her in the right direction, and Usagi/Sailor Moon just happened to be that very person with enough kindness to see through her exterior and still have it in her to heal Nehelenia. When people forget why Usagi is awesome, I point this scene out to them.


DAY 08 - FAVORITE ATTACK



I wasn't sure which attack to put down for this until I saw kitsuneasika put a video of this attack for her prompt. It's just so damn cool. It's a mother effin' dragon! You can't run from this beast. It's a shame this attack was only featured once in the show, because I would've watched this animation over and over just to see this dragon eat people alive.


DAY 09 - FAVORITE MINOR CHARACTER



Naru Osaka. I still wish she was a Sailor Senshi so badly. She had enough personality, screen time and cuteness factor to at least serve as a Sailor Earth, or something similar.


DAY 10 - SADDEST MOMENT



Who didn't tear up even a little bit when Chibiusa completely vanished/died in Usagi's arms? That was heart wrenching to watch. On top of this episode being one of the best from the series (with some really good voice work, imho), it was just painful to see Usagi go through that loss. Poor bb. :(

DAY 07 - MOST HEARTBREAKING SCENE

DAY 08 - PAIRING WITH THE MOST BAGGAGE



Rei/Kira from Mars. Kira was sexually abused/raped by her step-father and Rei was hospitalized after the death of his twin brother. They're both got some serious issues to work out in their relationship because of issues outside of the relationship, even some that occurred years before they even met. Once in awhile Rei will accidentally call Kira "Sei," which will lead Kira to believe he's only dating her because she reminds him of his brother Sei. (They're both painters, sensitive, etc.) Rei's afraid to even touch Kira because he believes she views sex as violence due to her step-father raping her - and to some degree, he's right. Yet they make it work. They're both willing to work through their issues because they love each other and they know they're strong enough to work it out.

Um. I think I filled this prompt correctly. I never know what anyone means specifically with "baggage," if that's sticking to issues outside of romance or issues relating to past relationships. Either way, Rei and Kira fit "baggage" so well that they may as well be the textbook definition of this term.


DAY 09 - THE MOST BELIEVABLE RELATIONSHIP

Eeee, another Mars fan! I love Mars so much, but it's hard to find someone else who's read it and enjoyed it. <3 I don't own all of the books, but I read the entire series at a friend's house, and it just gave me so many feelings.

...Okay, I have a lot to comment on, so I'm just going to go in order to avoid confusion.

I loved that fight with Nehelenia so much, and Usagi really was amazing in there. ♥ And, in the end, I love how everything turned out. Usagi's love and acceptance was so...I don't know the right word. I just liked it.

Also, your picspam-like images are super pretty! I love how the Supreme Thunder Dragon images look in particular.

Naru! ♥ It's so depressing how she completely disappears at the end of the series. It's even more depressing how the last few episodes she was shown in was all about her and Umino. Ugh.

And yes, I cried when Chibiusa disappeared too. It doesn't help that I adore both Chibiusa and Usagi to death, so I was essentially crying for both of them.

We've already talked about Nephrite and Naru recently, so skipping over that one...I don't know what Mars is...FMA! I actually ship a lot of different pairings for those two, but I do agree. They are a good couple, and I would have never want them to end up with someone else canon-wise, even if they aren't necessarily my favorite ship.

I don't ship real people either. Creepy much?

I think a lot of people who don't like her forget about Usagi's love for others, even when they don't deserve it. Nehelenia definitely didn't deserve the love and acceptance, but Usagi knew she needed it to heal and to help return her to a state where she can be happy again. That's courage.

:D I'm glad you liked the images! I did a few of them at the last minute for these prompts. Some were completed a few days before, but the dragon one was done a few minutes before I posted it.

Ugh.Oh, I agree with you so much. And it was almost never about her, but about Umino and his relationship with Naru. And I hate Umino; or I just hate him by default because of the lazy way the show paired Naru off with Umino as some sort of closure after Nephrite died. It wasn't sweet, it was awkward and disappointing.

I adore Usagi in the same way! I don't really like Chibiusa as much as I do the other senshi--more so because I have problems with future kids arriving in the present time in any narrative--but I didn't want to see her disappear like that. It made me cry. :(

Personally my favorite ship for FMA is Roy/Riza--although I hate more icons for Edward/Winry, for some reason--but I love Edward and Winry because I think it's the "childhood friends become lovers/get married" trope done right, and it's just one of those things you can't help but stop and appreciate.

It is creepy! My little sister's currently into bandom and I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT AT ALL.

I have a huge soft spot for characters like Usagi, and can never understand why they're hated. It's probably because I admire all the love she has, and wish Ioculd be more like her.

Umino is a creep. I mean, it does say something about Naru that she can overlook al of his faults, but the fact remains: he creeps me out. Plus, there's more to Naru then just her relationship with another guy, and I hate how that's completely ignored in the last few episodes she's shown in. Why couldn't we have had mroe about her friendship with Usagi, or about her as a person? Seriously.

Mm, I've always hated that plot device too except in DBZ, and I really didn't like Chibiusa in R. But in S and Super S she really grew on me, to the point where I can say she's definitely one of my favorite characters. Not in the top five or anything like that, but definitely a favorite. But even if I didn't like her, I think that scene would have made me cry, especially the bit with their hands.

I've never liked Roy/Riza, to be honest. I don't hate it, but it doesn't strike me as interesting. Then again, I've only seen the original anime, and I've heard that it was done better in the manga. ANYWAYS. I agree with you about the childhood friends become lovers thing. It's a super cute trope, but it's done wrong quite a bit. But with those two, it's just so right.

Thankfully, I don't know anyone who ships real people. Whenever I think about it, I wonder how the celebs would feel, if they knew about all the fanfic written about them. Quite frankly, I'd be creeped out.
