So, question!

Does anyone on my flist have an Netflix account? If so, how exactly does it work? I looked on the website and I think I have the general idea of how it works, but I just wanted to make sure.

I've got a netflix account. What do you want to know?

Mostly just to see what everyone's experience with it has been, and about the overall cost. I'm reading more in depth through the terms of use, but I wanted to hear from actual customers first.

Oh, I have nothing but good things to say about netflix. Their service is easy, and is worth it if your a avid movie/show watcher. They have prices on what price for the number dvds out at a time are (a once a month charge. you get a certain number of dvds out, and when you return one, another one comes back in. so yeah, depending on how fast you watch, you can have a lot of dvds a month for one monthly fee.)

and instant watch comes with it. have a x-box ( with x-box live), wii, or Ps3? you can get instant watch. oh, you can watch on the computer too, if you don't mind sitting at the computer a lot... oh wait, they recently released instant watch free for the ipod touch and iphone too.

I'm really glad to hear there's an unlimited amount of movies you can watch on the average monthly fee. I like watching movies and new things, but I'm the type of person that'll watch something once and then never think about watching it again unless I really love it. So, Netflix sounds like a good source for me to try out new things and watch them. xD;

The instant watch is very tempting and it's mainly the reason I'd like to give Netflix a try. I don't mind sitting at the computer for awhile, and we have a PS3 and a Wii, so there's always going to be someplace to use that.

What do you need to know, precisely? My family has had one for about two years now, and it's really easy to use.

Sorry, I wasn't very specific. The overall cost. I'm looking over their terms of use right now to see further in depth, but I wanted to see if anyone could let me know what their experience has been financially, to see whether or not it's worth it.

Personally, I think it's definitely worth it. My family pays about $24 a month for four movies at a time. Whenever you send back a movie, you get another one back pretty quickly-- seriously, the shipping speed is amazing-- and you can hld on to the movie as long as you want. And the selection is pretty nice. We've never run out of movies to watch.

I'm not sure if I can pay as high as $24 a month, but the other plans they've got to offer sounds great from what I've viewed. I'm glad to hear a lot of positive things about it; I've considered signing up for awhile and now I seem to have regular hours at work to help pay for it. (Plus, I'm not going back to school as soon as I anticipated, so this is a nice way to pass the time until then.)
