Long story short: Straight Male Gamer complains about the bisexual options in Dragon Age 2. Bioware responds with this:
Oh, Bioware. I knew there was a reason why I loved playing your games so much, and you just gave me another reason to adore you guys.
Long story short: Straight Male Gamer complains about the bisexual options in Dragon Age 2. Bioware responds with this:
The romances in the game are not for “the straight male gamer”. They’re for everyone. We have a lot of fans, many of whom are neither straight nor male, and they deserve no less attention.
[...] The very best we can do is give everyone a little bit of choice, and that’s what we tried here. And the person who says that the only way to please them is to restrict options for others is, if you ask me, the one who deserves it least. And that’s my opinion, expressed as politely as possible.

Date: 2011-03-28 02:45 am (UTC)Well, now I HAVE to play Dragon Age, don't I? If the developers are THAT AWESOME! Now that I've finished Deadly Premonition, I need a new game, anyway.

I haven't looked into how the rest of the fandom feels about it (I try to avoid it, anyway, since it's...weird), but I thought the sequel was worth the money.
