You know. There's moments where I forget why Stephen King is awesome. Then this happens: Stephen King says Stephenie Meyer can't write. Then I remember, I laugh, and all is well in my little world.

Except that I have a headache, and I have to write my own personal vagina monologue ... when I really don't want to talk about it. I get why it's important, but I'm so 'meh' about it. :/

In the meantime, I'll help make dinner and listen to the rest of the audiobook for "Boy Meets Boy" by David Levithan. It's so unbelievably corny to listen to (I just can't dig the way the narrator is telling the story from Paul's POV), but so far it's a decent story.

It doesn't surprise me to hear that about Picoult. I mean, her books keep getting turned into Lifetime movies. To me, that's not a good sign of a great author, unless they're one of those rare Lifetime movies that turn out excellent. :/

With Smeyer, at least she shows she has the potential to improve. As bad as her Twilight series is, she had other characters that sounded interesting, such as Alice Cullen and Rosalie Cullen; she had tons of potential subplots to get into. What kills it for me is her lack of research on specific time periods and the sexist undertones of the Edward/Bella relationship. That and, well, she just doesn't try to be a good author. Like when she said she'd write five novels in one year. That's something only terrible fanfic writers do.
