amazonfail.
Apr. 12th, 2009 07:38 pmSo, I just recently learned about this one.
Do not go to Amazon.com. I just typed in "homosexuality" in its search engine, and it gave me these bogus results.
To read up more about Amazonfail, go to this link to read more about it. If you want to go shop at places that aren't Amazon, simply go to this link of online bookstores and you're good to go.
Seriously, guys, I cannot stress this enough. Don't support Amazon.com if you feel that this is wrong. Even if you're not sure what the big deal is, at least try to understand what's going on and see if there's anything you can do about it.

Date: 2009-04-13 12:51 am (UTC)I certainly don't like the idea of Amazon selling those books. However a though occurs to me. What if they HAVE to sell those books or get sued? You know, a sort of "free speech" thing for the book sellers.
Though I find it ironic there's free speech for the idea of taking away a certain groups freedoms.
Of course I'm NOT supporting these books be sold. Heck, I don't think these books should exists.

Date: 2009-04-13 02:48 am (UTC)Although, I don't necessarily agree that a book shouldn't be put out there even if I don't agree with it, just that the banning of any book or information makes me leery.

Date: 2009-04-13 02:51 am (UTC)I think I'm just sensitive to stuff like this because I used to be friends with somebody who believed, in her "good nature", that people who are gay are just looking for traits in their significant others that they wished they have themselves. Which is ... the biggest piece of shit I've ever heard. I just don't have a lot of patience for people who think that way, no matter how good-natured they think their intentions are. :\
