Jun. 5th, 2009 10:55 pmDon’t take too long to think about it. List 15 books you’ve read that will always stick with you -- the first 15 you can recall in no more than 15 minutes. Copy the instructions into your own note, and be sure to tag the person who tagged you.
This isn't in any order; one book isn't more important than the other. Also, this list is bound to change sometime soon, since I'm delving into classic literature these days. This is generally "MY FAVORITE BOOKS EVER" list for now.
1. "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger
2. "Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone" by J.K. Rowling
3. "The Opposite of Fate" by Amy Tan
4. "Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" by Lisa See
5. "Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen
6. "The Five People You Meet In Heaven" by Mitch Albom
7. "The Thirteenth Tale" by Diane Setterfield
8. "The Book of Lost Things" by John Conolly
9. "Wicked" by Gregory Maguire
10. "The Hundred Secret Senses" by Amy Tan
11. "Lamb" by Christopher Moore
12. "The Thornbirds" by Colleen McCullough
13. "Atonement" by Ian McEwan
14. "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee
15. "On Writing" by Stephen King
No tagging. If you want to do it, feel free!

Date: 2009-06-06 04:47 am (UTC)My favorite Mitch Albom title is "For One More Day" it held my attention more than the five people you meet in heaven. i don't think i even finished it. )': my habit is reading the last pages first so i need to stop that. i keep losing interest in books accidentally. i love it but then i get lazy and go "oh well i know how it ends. *gives up*" still for one more day got me so close to crying and for a book/movie/game/anime/etc to do that to me is really rare. have you read it? :o

Date: 2009-06-06 05:18 am (UTC)I know what you mean about reading habits. I used to read a lot of books in high school, but it takes me forever to fully digest a book now. :/ That, and now it's hard for me to focus my attention on one book at a time.
"my habit is reading the last pages first so i need to stop that." LOL. My older sister does this. Seriously. Whenever she gets a book, she peaks through the back of it and reads the last page.
It doesn't take much for me to tear up. I cry over everything, it's pathetic. I can only name a handful of books that've ever made me bawled, though. ("Snow Flower and the Secret Fan" is one of them.)
I haven't read "For One More Day" yet! D: I want to, but I keep forgetting to pick it up whenever I go to the bookstore. I have so many books I haven't gotten around to reading yet, it's ridiculous. I gotta get "Tuesdays With Morrie", as well. I read that book in ... one hour in my senior year. God, I remember every detail about that book, too. D:

Date: 2009-06-06 04:38 pm (UTC)Both are made of awesome. I nearly cried once when I was on this thread on a board and they were talking about books that shouldn't exist. One person said "To Kill A Mockingbird."
Now, I didn't almost cry because of that choice of that persons. That persons opinion. I nearly cried because the reason they gave for why it shouldn't exist was "it had no point.".
Yeah, my mind boggles too.

Date: 2009-06-06 05:10 pm (UTC)... It had no point? W-What? D: I'm ... going to say that this person didn't read the same "To Kill A Mockingbird" that we did and leave it at that, because that interpretation is ridiculous.
